Dear Sewing Friends, My oldest daughter has two step children who have been spending a fair amount of time at our house and I am easing into the “Grandma” roll. It’s really quite wonderful, isn’t it? Recently, while hopping up and down, the two of them asked “Grandma, what’s for dinner?” “It’s a mystery” I answered. (Since I very seldom cook anymore, it really is a mystery!) This reminded me of my mother who answered that same question countless times when I was a jumping child using the same words, “It’s a mystery”! Mom cooked dinner every evening and just plain got sick of us asking “What’s for dinner?” So, being a creative cook, she came up with “Mystery meatloaf.” We never knew from week to week what was in the meatloaf. But every Monday we had “Mystery meatloaf” which had another mystery ingredient. Since I’m no longer home to cook and most of the women I know I would rather quilt than make mystery meatloaf, we are having a Mystery Monday! We will have a mystery sale, mystery block class, a mystery notion contest, along with other fun things going on in the store on Monday, April 25th. See details below.
