Nevada Act Early Summit

NvLTSAE adapted the booklets specific to Nevada and has distributed approximately 30,000 across the state. Our goal is to distribute the remaining 20,000. Additionally, we are working with the Dept of Education to include age six.

We have developed a website designed to educate and provide information about development, training opportunities, and resources for families and professionals.

The organization of a state-wide annual Summit to bring parents and professionals together to collaborate on initiatives and projects to further the mission of Learn the Signs. Act Early.

Video Training Modules

Determining the feasibility of using the developmental screening tools, ASQ-3 and ASQ-SE, in an online format to screen children in childcare settings across the state. In this way, data can be collected on the number of children that require assessment and intervention.

Training of 11 multidisciplinary teams across the state of Nevada including one team from Chile and a pediatrician from Guam. There was a total of 55 professionals from a wide range of disciplines: Occupational Therapy, Pediatrics, Physical Therapy, Psychology, Special Education, Speech-Language Pathology. To date the teams have conducted approximately 250 multidisciplinary assessments.

Development of eight online modules to educate childcare workers about autism and neurodevelopmental disorders. Modules include how to screen and make referrals to appropriate agencies when a developmental delay is suspected. Individuals can earn CEUs to meet licensure requirements.
