Develop and implement a multi-year marketing plan to communicate a powerful message regarding the benefits and value of eAgriculture and AgGateway resulting in x% membership growth, y% retention, and z% satisfaction by 2018 3. Develop and expand a repeatable process to acquire, onboard, engage and maintain new and existing members by 2018 4. By 2018 ensure business excellence and build industry value through regular alignment of internal goals and strategies with market and member needs 1.

Ag Retail Council’s Mission – Modify or Change? • Mission • The Ag Retail Council’s mission is to be the voice of

the retailer in activities related to the standardization, use and promotion of eAgriculture, to drive retail efficiencies.

Goals vs. Objectives • Goals - Broad, long-term aims that define

accomplishment of the mission. Such as: "Profitability – Maximize net income by increasing revenues and controlling costs.” • Objectives - Specific, quantifiable, realistic targets that

measure the accomplishment of a goal over a specified period of time. Such as: "Increase revenues by 12% in 1993. Limit increases in overhead costs to 2% in 1993. Achieve a 5% reduction in management staff through increased automation.”

2014 ARC Goals – Modify or Change? • Improve transactional efficiency between ag retailers and

their suppliers. • Expand the community of ag retailers who participate in AgGateway/eConnectivity. • Standardize and streamline the movement of information between ag retail and other “links” in the ag supply chain. • Educate ag retailers about eAgriculture and AgGateway. 2014 ARC Objectives – Modify or Change? • Create awareness and adoption of the Flat File Sales Reporting format (Crop

Protection, Specialty Chemical & Seed) reporting format for reporting to suppliers • Metric – Approved and implemented for reporting in summer 2015. •

• Participation on other council sponsored projects that align and provide value to Ag

Retail members.

• Metric – Ag Retail members to participate in all AgGateway projects
