Snow Information If there is a heavy snowfall and you want to check if school will be open please look on the ‘Latest News’ section of the school website www.aldwyn.tameside.sch.uk. School will be open unless a snow message is added onto the website at 7.00am. Information will also be posted on Aldwyn Sunnyside –Moss Facebook Page. We will do our best to keep school open and to keep you well informed.
Key Stage One children became chefs this week. The infant classrooms were turned into a chef’s kitchen where the children designed festive Christmas drinks. The children came up with some very creative names and ingredients for their drink. “My drink is called Father Christmas Surprise because it’s a drink for Santa on Christmas Eve” from Evie (Year 2). “My drink is Star because it tastes like zingy stars!” from Darsi (Year 1).
EYFS & KS1 Look out for letters on Monday from Friends of Aldwyn offering you chance to purchase group class photos with a difference!! Subject Ambassadors Find out more in the Latest News section of the website!
Spanish Mr Wakefield worked with children in Key Stage One this week to create a wonderful Christmas Angel scene. The children’s work along with scenes from each phase of school will be on display at Droylsden Shopping Centre. Thank you to Mr Wakefield and the children who helped create the lovely scene.
Next week, for just one week, Spanish will be on Thursday 3rd December instead of Friday 4th December. The last lesson of the Autumn Term will be on Friday 11th December.
School Attendance Good attendance and punctuality are crucial to your child’s success at Aldwyn Primary School. Our attendance last week was only 95.9 % our target is 97%.
