Jo’s Sewing Day

Bali Star Bed Runner

Foundation Strip Piecing is used to piece the Wedding Ring arcs. Traditional piecing is used to assemble four squares for the background units. Baltimore Album

Learn to make a Baltimore Album Style quilt while perfecting your hand appliqué skills. Each month a new block or technique will be taught. Teacher: Sandra Mollon

Baltimore Autumn

The making of the Baltimore Autumn quilt blocks by machine embroidery. Your embroidery machine will do most of the work, there is some cutting out of the appliqué pieces but then you can just sit back and watch your embroidery machine complete each block. Occassionally I add to these blocks which you can do or you can keep them as they are! The fun is watching how all the blocks turn out. Most of the designs are sized for a 200 mm width hoop. Beginning Appliqué Antique Toys

Join Sandra in a 13 block series quilt with her antique toys patterns. Each month students will work on a block. Learn to piece the background, appliqué by hand or machine, and add easy embellishments with ink for realistic effects. Use Sandra’s ink during the class! Teacher: Sandra Mollon Level: Date: Sat. Beginning Hand Appliqué-Hearts

Bionic Bag

O.K., you have finished the quilt you have been working on for a while now. You have had it quilted or quilted it yourself! Congratulations! Now for the binding, the point every quilter wants to get to. But how do I continue. We will spend the day answering your questions and doing hands on demos. Bird Walk Bite Size

Checkerberry Pillow

Christmas Morning Delight

Pack away the Christmas décor and join Lisa to make “Christmas Morning Delight” wall hanging. Learn to do fusible appliqué for the center and piece the stars and frame. Finessing the Figures

In this class you will learn the formulas and piecing techniques for 12 of the most common quilting components from HST to Hourglass units to 3 different kinds of flying geese and more. The components can then be made any size you need for sashings, borders, or blocks. Teacher: Lynn Wilder

French Laid Embroidery

In this class students will learn embroidery basics, and the stitches you will need to complete a raised monogram, which include stem or split stitch, fill stitches, couching, satin stitches and French knots. You can use a piece of fabric or embroider a hand towel or linen. Teacher: Sandra Mollon

Learn to machine quilt, using your home sewing machine. Students will learn to quilt loops and curves, straight lines, free motion designs and a feathered wreath. Introduction to Ribbonry

Mega Missouri Puzzle

This is a very straight forward quilt which is not as difficult as it looks. The Missouri Puzzle block is made up of plain squares, rail fence units, and nine patch units which are strip pieced. A very easy quilt for a beginner and there are just nine blocks to make! Teacher: Jim Hahn
