Baltimore Autumn
The making of the Baltimore Autumn quilt blocks by machine embroidery. Your embroidery machine will do most of the work, there is some cutting out of the appliqué pieces but then you can just sit back and watch your embroidery machine complete each block. Some places I add to these blocks which you can do also or you can keep them as they are! The fun is watching how all the blocks turn out. Most of the designs are sized for a 200mm width hoop. Baltimore Album Advanced
This is for the advanced student who is ready to move to new Baltimore Album blocks I have designed. A new block will be presented on average every two months. Beginning Hand Appliqué
This is a one day introduction to hand appliqué, using “A Song in my Heart”. Students will learn the fast starch-turned method of preparing appliqué shapes and glue-basting the shapes into place, and hand sewing using the invisible tack stitch. Jill will be offering a 3 day workshop and will teach every aspect of machine quilting on your domestic machine. Impressionistic Landscape
In this 3 Day Workshop, students will create an original, one of a kind, piece of textile art. Shapes and images in my landscapes are created using a technique of cutting and slicing fabric to create a palette. Layering colorful bits of fabric on batting, adding covering tulle and then machine quilting the entire piece gives an impressionistic style, interest and depth.
