Boxing Day Dip Miss Lawson was incredibly brave on Boxing Day, with a dip in the North Sea at Sunderland. Dressed as a super hero, she braved the cold and still managed to keep a smile on her face.
Parent Evenings - Monday 26th & Tuesday 27th March (Appointments sent out after half term) If any of our children took part in the Boxing Day Dip, please send in any photos and we’ll get them into the Easter Break - Break up - Thursday 29th March next newsletter. Return to school - Monday 16th April Year 5 Thurston Trip - 8th - 11th May Year 2 SATs - Throughout May

Once again, we request that parents/carers park considerately and within the laws of the highway Summer Half Term - Break up - Thursday 24th May code. Vehicles should NOT be parked on double (Staff INSET - Friday 25th May) Return to School - Monday 4th June yellow lines or the zig zags at the entrance to the school, on Ashley Road. Recent issues have been General Reminders reported to the council, who will be monitoring the situation, at our request. Should anyone Dinner Money - this should be paid each Monday observe any such parking, please report it to the morning. If you are unable to pay, for any reason, council on 4247900. please contact school to let us know. If we do not For the safety of the children, we encourage your receive dinner money for your child, you will be support on this very serious matter. asked to send a packed lunch for them, until any money owed is paid off. Sickness Absence - If your child is ill and unable to attend school, you MUST contact school to leave a reason for their absence, preferably by 9am. Continued failure to do so may result in a visit from the Local Authority attendance team.
