The Pan American games are coming to Toronto in 2015, but have you ever heard of the Asian Community Games? The Asian Community Games is an annual community sports event open to all communities, not just Asians. We are excited to be hosting our 7th annual Games, and are thrilled to offer you the opportunity to promote your business through sponsoring this event. The Games started in 2005 with 200 athletes, 1 event (Track and Field), and a small number of highly motivated volunteers. Last year we had over 3,000 athletes participate in 8 different categories, such as Basketball, Soccer, Swimming, Track & Field, Badminton, Table Tennis, Volleyball, and Cricket. The 7th Asian Community Games has grown even more with 9 categories by adding Golf. The purpose of the event is to promote health, wellbeing, sportsmanship and the values of Canadian multiculturalism. The Asian Community Games has been a great success over the last 6 years with a proven track record of benefiting all those who have been involved, from its participants to sponsors. This year we expect over 6,000 participants. We are expecting over 10,000 total attendees on site, and with promotions and coverage on Omni TV (Rogers Television) Sing Tao Newspapers (Affiliated with Toronto Star), and other community media outlets, your business will be able to reach a greater mass audience of over 100,000. The Games will begin on June 25th with a Grand Opening Ceremony at York University’s Toronto Track and Field Centre, and continue from June 25th to June 26th at York University Campus. The new Golf Tournament will be held on June 12th at the Angus Glen Golf Club in Markham.
