BandsawFence Author: Jeremy Bruck Date: Oct 16, 2015 This fence was designed for my 12” Delta model 28190 bandsaw. It clamps at both ends to an aluminum angle stock which was bolted to the bandsaw table. The levers rock open to release the clamp.
The SketchUp file is included and I used Slic3r to generate Gcode. PARTS You will need the following parts: ◻ Bracket Left (printed) ◻ Bracket Right (printed) ◻ Lever Left (printed) ◻ Lever Right (printed) ◻ 2x Bottom Clips (printed) ◻ 2x Bushings (printed) ◻ 4x Spacers (printed) ◻ 4x M5 25mm button head bolt and nylon lock nut ◻ 2x M5 70mm socket head bolt and nylon lock nut ◻ 1” angle aluminum extrusion ◻ 1x2” hardwood piece version 1.0
ASSEMBLY Prepare the table by sizing and bolting the extruded aluminum to the bandsaw table. Use the spacers to separate the aluminum from the table. Make Lbolts by cutting the head off of the long M5 bolts and bending them 90° about 20mm from the end previously with the head. (I used a vise and hammer to bend the bolts.) Prepare the plastic lever parts by removing the support structure from the slot and bolt holes. Press a bushing into each of the levers. Thread the Lbolt through the bracket and lever. Slide the bushing over the bolt (I had to use long needle pliers). Loosely secure with a nylon lock nut. Slip a Bottom Clip onto the short end of the Lbolt. Slide the assembly onto the aluminum angle stock and adjust the Lbolt nut for an appropriate clamping force (adjust in the open position). With both brackets in place, measure and cut a piece of 1x2” wood to fit between the two brackets. Mark the bolt hole locations, drill, and countersink one side for the bolt heads. Assemble the wood piece to the brackets.

USE To adjust the position of the fence, simple rotate the levers up and slide the assembly to a new position. Clamp it back into place with the levers. KEYWORDS Fence Delta 28190 Bandsaw HISTORY Version 1.0 initial release
