BandsawLightMount Author: Jeremy Bruck Date: Dec 30, 2014 I needed a light on a my bandsaw (Delta 12” 28190). I found this great LED lamp from IKEA for about $10. It is available with various base options but I decided this desktop version would work best. This printed part adapts the lamp to mount easily to the bandsaw’s existing threaded holes. Simply add a couple M6 bolts, route the wire, and you have a new work surface lamp. PARTS You will need the following parts to assemble the light. ◻ base (printed) ◻ mounting bracket (printed) ◻ 3x wire clips (printed) ◻ IKEA JANSJÖ LED work lamp ◻ 2x 10mm M6 hex head bolts ◻ Delta 12” 28190 bandsaw ◻ doublesided tape ASSEMBLY Insert the lamp into the base and then use the bolts that came with the lamp to attach the light/base assembly to the mounting bracket. Assemble the mounting bracket to the bandsaw using two M6 bolts. (Of course, you could attach this to just about anything with the right hardware…) Use doublesided tape to attach the power switch. version 1.0
The wiring can be routed using wire clips and doublesided tape. I included files for this clip. They are much larger than needed but sized for the doublesided tape that I had.
