Baseline Tennis Center Corporate Tennis Challenge April 12-15, 2012 The Corporate Tennis Challenge is a team based doubles competition that brings the competitive nature of business to the tennis courts. Offering a team-building experience and an exciting networking opportunity, the Corporate Tennis Challenge provides a fun outlet to all employees (current and retired) and their spouses. Times of Play:

Matches will be played Thursday, April 12th through Sunday, April 15th. Thursday (6pm-11pm), Friday (6pm-11pm), Saturday (8am-10pm), Sunday (8am-7pm).

Tournament Format: Teams are awarded 2 points for each main draw win and 1 point for each consolation draw win. The organization accumulating the most total points will receive the Corporate Tennis Challenge trophy to display at their company for 1 year. Teams will be comprised of up to 24 doubles teams with no more than two pairs per division. All draws will be First Match Loser Consolation draws.

Match Format:

All main draw matches will be 2 out of 3 sets with a super tie-break (first to 10 points) in lieu of a full third set. All consolation matches will be 8-game pro-sets with a tiebreak at 8-8. All teams are guaranteed a minimum of two scheduled matches.

Divisions:

Men’s Doubles, Women’s Doubles, and Mixed Doubles are offered in all divisions below. Players are limited to 2 events (one men’s or women’s doubles and one mixed doubles). Players cannot play in two different men's or women's divisions.    

Combined NTRP 6.0 and below Combined NTRP 7.0 and below Combined NTRP 8.0 and below Open Division

Eligibility:

Eligible team members are employees, retired employees, and/or spouses (spouses must play together). Each team member must be employed by the same organization at least 20 hours per week (exception made for spouses) and must be 19 years of age.

Shoes:

Only court shoes will be allowed. Baseline does not allow running shoes, cross trainers, or hiking shoes. For a more thorough description of the shoe policy please contact Baseline.
