BBC Meeting Minutes July 10, 2017 Attendance: Tim Dahl, Ron Spier, Traci Pederson, Brad Johnson, Annette Peterson, Rodney Bluiett, Jake Lindquist, Andy Willman, Josh Ortmann, Jason Sorenson, Catherine Bluiett, Ron Stern Approval of June Minutes: Ron made a motion to approve the June minutes; Annette seconded; motion carries Treasurer’s Report Andy made a motion to approve June treasurer’s report, Brad seconded; motion carries. Coach Ortmann’s Report ➔ Full gym at camp, great to see! Old Business ➔ Andy is currently looking at player development ideas online to better what we’re doing ➔ Brad – advertising/promotions committee – he and Molly need to connect and firm things up. They will find out what companies from last year are back in for this year – if enough interest, we can continue on the route we’re on. If not, then look into other smaller options. This should be decided upon before our next meeting. ➔ Tourney registration – should be active within 5 days from today, player registration is active. ➔ BBC donated $2500 to Bison Cheer program ➔ Tryouts are coming up, Aug. 20 and 27th this will go in the paper last week in July and first week in Aug. ◆ Brad to put signs out by all elementary schools, and out by a few local companies. ◆ Tim to send out a blast email as a reminder as well as an email requesting coaches to apply for the season ◆ Team formation meeting is Wed. Sept 6th, teams to be announced th Sept. 10 by 8 p.m. New Business ➔ Jason Sorenson from J&J in attendance to show samples of uniforms for this upcoming traveling season. Looking at doing black on one side and either white or grey reversible ➔ Shooting shirts – looking at new design for all levels for consistency. Traveling teams to purchase their own if they’d like – BBC to purchase for grades 9-12 program and will go into a rotation just as the uniforms are. ➔ Coaching shirts will be ¼ zip shirts ➔ Jason to put numbers on the back side of tryout jerseys, in turn we’ll put J&J advertisement on as a full page

➔ Community Member in attendance, parent would like to know if players can play up – why or why not? Specifically his 3rd grader. Discussion had, but as our BBC Bylaws state, our traveling program is for grades 4-8. 3rd graders can form a team on their own, not in part of the BBC. Rodney motioned to adjourn the meeting; Traci seconded - 8:28 p.m. We continue to encourage everyone to attend our monthly meetings held the 2nd Monday of every month at the Buffalo Airport, 7 p.m.
