BECKER BLAST MEETING MINUTES
Date: Sunday, January 31, 2016 Time: 6:30pm Location: Hideout Bar & Grill At 6:41pm the meeting was called to order by President Dan Paulson. Those present were Dan Paulson, Jodi Eickhoff, Todd Eickhoff, Danny Enerson, Jason Koste, Barb Schendel, Tina Tamm, Lee Croal, Jason Baune and Jennifer Paumen. Those absent was Anne Koste, Phil Mitzel, Missy Eich. A motion was made by Dan Enerson and seconded by Lee to accept December’s meeting minutes. Motion carried. I.

President Report: a. 2016 Registration i. Registration is now open until March 7th. ii. Community Ed to send out communication for registration. iii. Lee has sent out a Blast email for registration. iv. Tina got a free ad coupon from the Citizen from the Business Expo. Otherwise the ad in the Citizen for two weeks would be $250. b. Evaluations i. March 8th 5:30 – 9:00pm with a backup date of March 11th ii. We are in need of evaluators. iii. Tina got the spreadsheet from Chris for evaluation numbers. c. Coaches/Parents meeting – Sunday April 3rd i. Set up at 4:00 at BCC ii. Parent’s Meeting starts at 4:30pm iii. Coaches Meeting starts 6:00-8:00pm. Jason will let Big Lake and Monticello know of meeting. d. League directors meeting i. Suburban – Monday, February 8 at 7:00pm at Hopkins VFW 1. Dan P. and Todd will attend. Vice President Report: a. 8U needs to update for how many teams for the league this year. b. We will need to inform the league we will not have the 8U tournament on Freedom Days. c. 8U tournament June 11th. i. Keep $150 registration fee. 16 teams, 3 games, 48 games total ii. Umps can use tournament for “training” for new umps or we can hire kids or board members to save money. iii. 8U Tournament will be state qualifier. iv. Tina will look at designing T-shirts for “Rookie Round-up”. d. April 6th is Coaches Meeting for 8U. Treasurer Report: a. Current balance is $18,321. b. Check on two accounts to separate Varsity from Blast. Secretary Report: a. N/A

Communication Report: a. Need to get the picture information from Juan. b. Last year we used Lommel Photography over Camera Shop. Volunteer Report: a. Advertise volunteers for umping for the 8U tournament. b. Let parents know no volunteer hours in the shack until after Blast tournament. Equipment Report: a. Need to set a date to put together first aid kits. Ball bags should be good to go except for new bags we ordered. Maybe we can put together at the Parent’s Meeting. b. 2016 uniform samples sizes for registration. Can check out sizes at BCC and at Open Gym. No socks are included in registration. c. 2016 Becker Blast logo wear can be ordered through Henry’s on website. d. Will need to put in equipment order to order more balls. Concession Report: a. Dan E. proposed that Blast open up concessions at the Fieldhouse for 3 rd/4th grade in-house league for 4 Saturdays. If we have prepackaged items, no permit is needed. Lee will check with Corey Nuest on getting us in next year. Tournament Report: a. Teams can register online for the tournament. Look at raising the registration price to cover the service fees. b. Freedom Days June 17-19 i. Couple vendors are signed up along with the photographers. ii. Dan has posted on Fastsports.com and Suburban League. iii. Send the dates to Whiskey for umps and have reserved the fields at BAC. iv. Check on donut vendor to get at softball fields. Advisor Report: a. No Report
