BECKER BLAST MEETING MINUTES
Date: Sunday, March 6, 2016 Time: 5:00pm Location: Field House At 5:09pm the meeting was called to order by President Dan Paulson. Those present were Dan Paulson, Jodi Eickhoff, Todd Eickhoff, Danny Enerson, Jason and Anne Koste, Barb Schendel, Tina Tamm, Missy Eich, Phil Mitzel, Lee Croal, Jason Baune and Jennifer Paumen. A motion was made by Jodi and seconded by Lee to accept February’s meeting minutes. Motion carried. I.

President Report: a. 2016 Registration i. 85 players as of today’s meeting with 7 coaches signed up. ii. Players need to complete tryout at their grade level and then at higher up level also. Lee will add to the website. iii. Board has agreed all 8U players moving up to 10U if in third grade. b. Evaluations i. March 8th 5:30 – 9:00pm. Board members come in at 5:30pm. ii. We have 7 evaluators. There will be 2 evaluators in each group. Dan has 4 volunteers helping. iii. Tina got the spreadsheet from Chris for evaluation numbers. iv. Supplies needed are pens, clipboards, numbers, pizza and pop. v. March 13th will be selection night at 6:00pm. Meet at the fields at 4:00pm to put the bags and medical kits together. c. Coaches/Parents meeting – Sunday April 3rd i. Set up at 4:00 at BCC with Parent’s Meeting starting at 4:30pm. ii. Coaches Meeting starts 6:00-8:00pm. Jason will let Big Lake and Monticello know of meeting. d. League directors meeting i. Suburban Coaches Meeting is April 11th (10/12) and April 18th (14/16). One coach from each team should attend. ii. League season start dates: May 9th 12U, May 10th 10U, May 24th 14U iii. Brainerd is wanting to join Northwest League. iv. Need to talk at the Parent’s Meeting about abuse of the umpires. A few female umpires have quit due to stress of parents and coaches at game. Vice President Report: a. Nothing yet to report for 8U League b. 8U tournament is posted on Fastsports and MMFL. Treasurer Report: a. Current balance Secretary Report: a. N/A Communication Report: a. Dan E. will set up picture night with Lommel Photography b. Ad for Citizen is $85/week for two weeks will be around $140.

Volunteer Report: a. N/A Equipment Report: a. Equipment order came in. Cost is $2500. b. 2016 Becker Blast logo wear can be ordered between March 23 – April 6th. Concession Report: a. Lee will check with Corey Nuest about doing concessions for 3 rd/4th grade in-house league next year. Tournament Report: a. Freedom Day Tournament June 17-19 i. 2016 vendors and photographers are mostly figured out. 1. Maui Waui, Shirts on Site, Kona Ice, Mini Donuts, Bulldog Photo, Checking on cheese curd/mini donuts for at school fields ii. Medals need to be ordered iii. Dan sent email to reserve fields and umps. b. Rookie Round Up Tournament June 11 i. Set up vendors – Kona Ice is unavailable for this date. ii. Ice Maker at Geyer Rental to rent to make sno cones.
