You are invited to join the
Beginning Racer Program! You can pre-register for the series at USA Cycling
What: Racing Skills Clinics, whether you are racing or not on the day For Whom: Any junior or female cyclist who is interested in racing, or already racing at the Cat 3 level, but would like to improve skills related to racing. We strongly encourage riders of all ages to participate, and learn the skills to become a better rider and racer. Clinics are open to all beginner racers, including Category 3, 4 , or 5 juniors and Category 3, 4 women. Why: To learn bike racing skills, allowing a safer and more enjoyable racing experience. Riders who complete both the clinic and race portion will earn upgrade points, or have the events count as mass finishes. For a Cat 5 rider, one full day counts as two mass finishes. Clinic Information: USA Cycling license is required for these clinics. One day licenses may be
purchased in advance by registering online or day of at on-site registration. A USA Cycling waiver must be signed before entry is accepted at the clinic. Clinic address and start times will vary throughout the series as each clinic is held at a different venue. On-site registration for Clinic #1 is available at 8:30, as the process will not take long. You can speed things up by registering online at www.usacycling.org, but on-site registration will be available. If paying on-site, please bring cash or check as credit cards cannot be accepted. Please arrive prepared with cycling clothing, bicycle, helmets, and any other items you need for riding your bike. This clinic is a participation based clinic, so being ready to ride is important to get the maximum out of your participation. Attendees can Google Dorsett Drive and Barbour Drive to find the exact location. The approximate street number is 600 Barbour Drive. The parking lot can be entered from either Barbour Drive or Umstead Drive and is located across the street from the DHS offices. Attendees should access the venue from either Hunt Drive off of Western Blvd or Blair Drive off of Centennial Pkwy. The Bilyeu Street entrance should be avoided on Sunday.
