Beginning Feathers
Beginning Feathers 4 hours – Beginner 20 Students (You MUST be comfortable with free motion quilting!)
Feathers are FABULOUS!!! Put your inhibitions aside…You WILL be making feathers by the end of this class. You’ll learn a basic feather and how to create it. There are many different ways to make feathers…we will find the way that works for YOU! In this class you will get the attention you need. I LOVE feathers and plan to pass that love onto you!!! Let’s learn to make them!!! Supplies list: Sewing machine – cleaned and in good working order Foot pedal – don’t forget! Power cord – important! Free Motion Quilting Foot Single Hole Needle Plate – if you don’t have one, I have a trick we’ll use during class. Needles – 90/14 Topstitch Thread – good quality thread – Aurifil, Superior Threads, Isacord, Wonderfil, etc.… 4 – Fat Quarter quilt sandwiches – (solid color top fabric, batting, and backing) Quilt gloves – I like Machingers – any brand will work! Letter sized Notepad & pencil
