The Vendor’s View It was the lovely garden and the property’s potential for expansion that sparked our interest some 15 years ago. The house and garden weren’t overlooked and the feeling of privacy was another really important factor for us. The garden remains our favourite part of the property, with a great patio that is ideal for barbecues and summer parties. The large lounge has double doors that lead out onto the patio, and so it’s an ideal place for entertaining and/or spending time with family and friends. There is so much to love about the location, close to Canterbury, on the edge of the village in the countryside, and only about 25 minutes from the coast. Just next to the house there is a track that leads down to a farm and there so many places to go walking, yet it’s really convenient for popping out to the shops. There is a regular bus service into the city centre, which is perfect if you want a night out in Canterbury, and of course you could catch the bus to Canterbury West and hop onto the fast train to London St Pancras in under an hour and a half from your front door. Similarly, the A2 is just a 10 minute drive from the house, which makes travelling by road very quick too. Since moving to the property we got a dog and had our children and the house has adapted with us. It has been a great family home and we will miss everything about it, especially the space and the garden.
