God Told Jeremiah What to Write   God said to Jeremiah: “Write on a scroll everything I have told you about Israel.”   So Jeremiah called Baruch. Baruch wrote on a scroll all the words God had told Jeremiah.   “Go to the temple,” Jeremiah said to Baruch. “Read God’s words to the people.”   Baruch went to the temple. He read all of God’s words to the people.   Some people were afraid. They went to the king. The king told them to bring the scroll and to read it to him.

The king would listen to part of the scroll and then cut that part off and burn it. He cut up and burned the entire scroll that way!   Then God said to Jeremiah: “Write the same words on another scroll. The king will be sorry that he burned the scroll.”   Jeremiah told every word to Baruch again. Baruch wrote every word on a new scroll. They knew that the scroll was important. The scroll had God’s words on it. —Jeremiah 36

Circle Around

You can thank God for many things. Here are some pictures. Draw a circle around each picture of something you want to thank God for.   Did you circle the Bible? I hope so! Pray now to thank God for all the things you circled.
