P o n t o o n Un d e r c a r r i a g e The REMU Big Float pontoon undercarriage is a unique platform that creates a safe working environment in otherwise unsafe locations. It can be used for excavation works in the most challenging of terrain, such as marshland, shoreline, and industrial waste ponds, as well as in open water.

Why to choose REMU Big Float? • better outreach compared to working from barge • tracks and chains similar to a normal excavator, strong, proven quality • pontoon structure with baffle sections guarantee safe floating • patented EP 1727687 and US Pat. 7,588,106

REMU Big Float pontoons can be hydraulically adjusted. This feature allows the operator to pull the pontoons together when passing through narrow gaps and then spread them apart to achieve a steady position for digging.

Transportation and Applications The REMU Big Float is easy to transport from one jobsite to another: Simply retract the pontoons to driving width, drive the Big Float onto the lowboy using the tracks, and then retract the pontoons to transportation width. No special arrangements necessary!

Big Float is suitable for various applications: • cutting aquatic vegetation • cleaning canals and rivers • empting industrial waste ponds • dredging the shore line and removing stones • building infrastructure • pile driving

3

REMU Big Float 800 • Easy to transport with normal 3-axle truck • Cost effective solution for smaller jobs Ideally for pipeline and cable works at shoreline

Working in Open Water REMU Big Float is totally floating. However, operating the machine in open water deeper than 1,5 meters (5 ft), requires always additional pontoons and anchoring legs.

Additional Pontoons Additional pontoons give extra buoyancy and stability when working without bottom contact.

Anchoring Legs Anchoring legs secure the Big Float to the bottom so that machine doesn’t move while digging or when working in conditions where current occurs.

Propellers Propellers are attached to additional pontoons to drive the Big Float in open water. The speed of 7 km/h (3,8 knots) (4,5 mph) can be achieved.

Hydraulic Oil Care Filter System Working in environment with daily touch for water and high moisture, hydraulic oil life time can be extended with Triple R oil cleaner.

Signal Lights for Navigation Signal lights are sometimes needed when working near shipping channels.
