Use (1) light, (1) medium, and (1) dark fabrics. Fabrics are listed in order of use. A - (12) squares, 1 3⁄4" x 1 3⁄4" (LIGHT) B - (4) squares, 3" x 3" (MEDIUM) C - (4) squares, 1 3⁄4" x 1 3⁄4" (DARK) D - (4) rectangles, 1 ½" x 3" (MEDIUM) E - (1) square, 1 ½" x 1 ½" (DARK) ------------------------------------------------------------Assembly 1. Layer (1) A square and (1) C square onto opposite corners of B square as shown; pin in place. Note: Pay attention to placement of C square if using directional fabrics. Stitch diagonally across A and C squares. Trim corners to a 1⁄4" seam allowance and press toward B. Repeat for remaining corners using (2) A’s, as shown. Make (4) Square in a Square units. A
2. Lay out the Square in a Square units from Step 1, D rectangles, and E square, as shown. Sew into rows; press toward the Square in a Square units in Row 1 and Row 3, and press toward E square in Row 2. Sew rows together (press toward Row 1 and Row 3) to create the Shoo Dat block measuring 6 ½" square.
