**Reserve your slots before they run out. Blocks will be set in the corners and spaces in a Carpenter’s Wheel block. Finished size: 80 x 80. Buck-A-Block is a program where you come in monthly and get two strips of fabric & block instructions for $1. Thangles are sold separately for $5.49 per package. This year we will use 2.0” Thangles. There is no start up fee.

Dina’s Cozy Cabin Quilts Class Information Online & Phone enrollment is accepted with credit or debit card. Class fee is due at time of registration. Without payment, your name will be placed on the waiting list Supply list available upon payment of class fee. It can be faxed, emailed or mailed. Class supplies are 15% off. Please let the cashier know you are purchasing for a class. Please purchase your supplies prior to class day. We cannot guarantee we will have the supplies in stock on the day of class.
If you need something PLEASE PLACE A SPECIAL ORDER. We can hold or order it for you. It takes 2-3 weeks for orders to ship to Alaska. Please plan accordingly. All cancellations must be made at least 10 days in advance. No refund or transfers will be given for late cancellations, or “no shows.” If class registration is below our minimum of 2, we will make every effort to fill the class. If the class must be cancelled, we will notify you 5 days in advance and refund your fee We will give you a reminder call about your upcoming class. Please be on time and bring all of your supplies. In consideration of the instructor and your fellow students, please do not bring children, pets, or cell phones to class. Purchases on the day(s) of your class are 15% off.
What to bring to class…
Your excitement and enthusiasm! Please review your supply list for each class and bring all of the requested items, plus the following: o Sewing Supplies: needles, thread, seam ripper, scissors for fabric and paper, extra full bobbins, your sewing machine (optional) o Quilting Supplies: rotary cutter, mat, ruler(s), notebooks, pencil, glue stick, marking pencils (you do not need to bring your large mats as the classroom has 2 and its better for those large mats to stay at home). Lunch or Snack: Microwave and refrigerator available. Or, several good restaurants are close at hand. We also have vending machines! Know how to operate your sewing machine and bring your owner manual.

Quilts of Valor Sewing Quilts of Valor are quilts made to honor & comfort the wounded. One of our projects is to take blocks from a Moda block challenge and create quilts with them. A sewing technique called foundation paper piecing is when you are sewing the pieces onto the foundation units or paper. Paper piecing creates quilts that can look intimidating! Yet, by following Judy Niemeyer's techniques for cutting and piecing you will find you can master any of her patterns. Curved piecing and traditional piecing are requred to join and finish the quilt after the foundation piecing is completed. There are quick cutting instructions that are designed to keep you organized. You can put it aside and when you return you can easily catch up where you left off.

Stack-n-Whack is an easy way to create quilt blocks with unique kaleidoscope designs. These designs require a set of identical pieces cut from a print fabric. Rather than finding and cutting each piece individually, a quilter can cut and layer a number of large, identical print rectangles to make a stack. Each triangle or wedge cut from the stack produces a set of identical pieces that will create the kaleidoscope effect for one block.
