Board Meeting April 13, 2017 Members in Attendance: Bobbie Gregory Nick Salvetti Tim Gaither Joey Marchesotti DJ Moffett Luke Lee Randy Liz Hernandez Cassie Hinde Charlotte Perla Garibay Roque Reyes Meeting called to order: 6:40pm Approval of Minutes: Nick Motioned to approve Randy Second Zero opposed Alfredo abstained Outstanding Business addressed: Guest: Luis Rec coach Has concerns regarding accommodations for coaches with multiple teams. He has approached Roy in the past for accommodations, Luis feels that Roy has not been helpful in this. He reached out to Niki and Bobbie for help in this matter, they were able to arrange his schedule a little better. Like updated the schedule in the computer. Which Roy had refused to do. He also brought up concerns regarding the lack of communication with BML. The rules where not clearly expressed to the coaches and in fact they were given incorrect information that caused a few disappointed players. He likes the league but if situations like this do not get resolved he is considering leaving the league. DJ: it is difficult to accoma=odate all coaches with all their conflicts, sometimes this is not possible Luis: 6 weeks out of the 8 he had conflitcs with games over lapping DJ: We want you to stay and are willing to work with you Nick: im hearing different issues here. Scheduling conflicts and lack of communication.

We hear you loud and clear Luis we want to work with you in resolving both issues, we cannot do much now for the current season but moving forward for fall we will definitely address your concerns. Myb we can work on a committee of coaches who can serve as liaisons with the board? We will work on this for the fall Bobbie has Luis email and will stay in communication with him. Neil: We have been working with Manteca FC in order to have a U19 team neither club has enough U19 players for a solid team so joining forces worked well last year. Neil received a phone call from Manteca FC in hopes that he would be willing to coach the U19 team (review attachment of text message communication brought in by Neil & Bill Atiola) This proposal is under consideration because of High school interfering with League play. Nick: so the question you are proposing is are we willing to work with them? Neil: yes, im willing to run it and be in charge and work with Manteca ( they are somewhat difficult to work with)but we can work amongst ourselves to resolve any issues. But I (neil) do not have any authority to speak on behalf of the board and accept this proposal. So some one from the board needs to reach out to them/ speak to them and agree to this terms. Nick: we will review and we will get back to you as well as with Manteca to what the decision is. Referee Liaison: (doug) Not in attendance . Office Admin: Jamboree: has been calendared for one day but has noticed that the schedule is set for 2 days. Arch rd is not available for Sundays, but the county is willing to let us use the softball fields if need be. DJ: this year its set up for 2 days that’s what we did last year as well (this is an event for only U8 2 games each day) Joey: fields need to be marked we should get board memebers to go out and do this Alfredo: equipment director should do this duty Neil: $75 for the U8 marking of fields Webers Point: a rep from webers point has reached out to us asking if we would like to set up a booth at their event FREE & CRUZ an event for all non profit organizations Good way to promote fall league Board agreed to a set up table with flyers at this event LUKE: Blue Somrero: we are working on the transition, we will be updated and trained and will then work on getting everyone else trained It also has a scheduling program that will help with the scheduling of games it will take time and effort from everyone to get it going. Bobbie: CYSA is using Bonzai and once we have that under control and figured out we will begin making the transition to Blue sombrero. Bonzai will not be up till April 24th Luke: we will start out small and look into scheduling via blue sombrero for the fall REC COORDINATORS (Roy & DJ): Dj: Weve been having some issue and problems with the U16 age group. We only had 25 players register to play and they ae playing 5v5 and aren’t very happy about it. Theirs been disaccord and grumblings. I

propose to offer them a certificate of some sort so they are willing to return again in the fall as I don’t think they will at this point. Especially with the eos tournament coming up Joey: a discount cert is a good idea for their troubles and all the problems Nick: we will discuss Alfredo: EOS talk to the coaches myb they would be willing to play 11v11 amongst themselves or do a best out of 3 games DJ: 2nd item we typically do Player gifts? What do we have in mind for this year? Nick: I put in $5 per player for a player gift Jose: 1st place gets a trophy 2nd and 3rd get medals Perla: using what we have first DJ: 3rd issue Returning players does the system have a tab that helps out to determine how long the coach has had that returning player Do we have a loyalty factor we can work with? Liz: isn’t it first come first serve? Randy: per us club policy it is player development first not team development Nick: a committee needs to meet prior to setting teams to decide how formation of teams and any policy changes will be addressed Randy will spear head this committee and we will invite a couple of coaches to join Luis/Jose/Niki/Nick Ron: can we guarantee that we will at least have 4 full teams for each age group to go ahead? Or that age group does not happen? Nick: we will give you the options and a heads if we do not have enough players in any age group and a decision can be made at that time. Luis: can we also have the correct size goals for each age group? Nick: we will work on these issue while considering any and all problems. cost? Availability? Etc? Dj: have we decoded on a registration date? Bobbie: we also need to discuss fees and are we going to provide a ball for each player? Nick: do we bump up the registration cost and have each player receive a ball? For coaches offer a $50 per child discount per team $110 u8 and up $100 u7 and below and $50 credit per coach per team only for head coaches (relative) NICK Motioned to approve Alfredo second Zero opposed Zero abstained DJ: 5th issue Uniforms? Are we willing to go back to color uniforms or are we going with reversible once again? We really didn’t save a lot of $ Charlottee: the thing was the ease of the organization with reversible The colors was one less thing to worry about. Cassie: can we add a tab at registration for coaches to pick a color? From a pre designated allowed colors?

Luke: yes this is possible and will work on it. COMP COORDINATORS (Joey & Tim): Joey: Sponsorship approvals We have no policy as of now. At the coaches meeting it was proposed that any sponsorship would have to be board approved and the amounts of $750 for a sleeve $1500 for the back and $2000 for both areas. Roque: what if a sponsor gives less? Joey: they can go towards back packs/warm ups etc Randy: I think the board should receive 25% out of each sponsorship received by each team and use that revenue for coaching licenses or other club needs etc. Roy: sysa already compensates coaches for e and d licenses. Neil: I agree with randy for coaches education and reimbursing them . SYSA has offered compensation for coaches to take their e and f licenses. Ron: we are the ones who went out and seeked out the sponsorships and now you want us to give a large substantial amount to the club?? Like a 25% tax Perla:Why don’t we do a per player fee. Start with $100 per year at 350 comp players in the program that should cover a lot We need to strt generating funds for the club so we can grow. Roque: the idea of the sponsorship is to allow the players to [pay less Nick motioned to approve the sponsorship logo $750 on either sleeve $1500 on the back $2000 for both Sponser has to be approved by the board Luke second Randy opposed Luke has a logo for Rafael Santiagos team (Lasas) Nick motined to approve logo Randy seconded Zero opposed Reimbursement for coaching licenses for D Alfredo: a comp coach should cover the own cost for the D license Tim: we have always paid for the license Randy motioned to reimburse comp coach for d license Perla second Zero opposed TREASURES REPORT (Jena): Please review attached reports. Vice President Report:

UOP : what we are doing at this point is to keep the lines of communication open amongst all parties and clubs in town. With the idea of what is the best way to keep soccer in the forefront of Stockton. When the committee makes a recomdation we will bring it to the board and proceeded from their My contact with the city has retired, im still working on getting the Arch fields situation up to date and to determine who that contact will be. Neil: it was stated that each comp coach should have their min of an e license Randy: reached out to Dicks sporting goods they will work with us and give our coaches a 25% pack with misc items for all coaches I recommend that we have committee that will focus on our coaches needs so we are not trying to find 23 coaches at the last minute like our previous season We also need a persona to handle finding sposerships for the club Cassie will reach out to PO her Ryan Jordan has asked to advertise on our sysa web page Nick motioned to allow Roque second All infavor Presidents Report: Emails on norcal review have been forward to tim and joey Ccsl is having a meeting perla forward the info to tim and joey Comp program fro cysa has a meeting on Tuesday In order to insure everything in the office it will cost $2000 per year per the insurance quote we received We willopt out We stilldo not have workmans comp We will reach out to vicki in regards to this We need to have all parents read and sign the new concussion protocol we need to keep a copy of it in the office Santiago: we need to reevaluate the roster sizes that where given 12 players is not enough at 9v9 We should be at 14 For future reference we should look at what other clubs are doing and go off that
