BOARD OF EDUCATION MINUTES NEWELL SCHOOL DISTRICT #9-2 SPECIAL MEETING JANUARY 18, 2017 Chairman Youngberg called the Newell Board of Education Special meeting to order at 6:03 p.m. with members Weeldreyer, Gaer, Trohkimoinen, Wendt and Burtzlaff present. Absent – Member Wells. Administration present: Supt. Dutt. Unless otherwise noted, all Board action was by unanimous decision. EXECUTIVE SESSION Motion Gaer, second Weeldreyer to enter into executive session to discuss negotiations (SDCL 1-25-2(4) at 6:04 p.m. The Board returned to regular session at 7:26 p.m. Discussion was held on current policies and the need to review and possibly revise our current policies. Also there was discussion of using ASBSD policy services to guide the review process and to look for any policies the board would like to add.
