We would like to recognize the following scouts who reached the rank of Eagle Scout in 2013: Chase Blankenship Matthew Butkiewicz Kevin Fribley Joey Hamilton Trevor Hautau David Jensen Alexander Maleski Robert May Michael Quattrocki Willy Ritter Alexander Warren Joseph Warren Emilio Vazquez
The Boy Scouts of St. James Parish Troop 681 are 70 strong with boys from grades 6-12 participating in programs and activities to advance through the ranks of Scouting. The troop had another busy summer with summer camp, two 50 mile hiking trips and a trip to Seabase in the Florida Keys. The Scouts put their motto” Be Prepared” and slogan “Do a Good Turn Daily” to good use. Boy Scouts could be seen setting up for the St. James Picnic and wherever a hand was needed at the St. James School Bazaar. The troop participates in Scouting for Food each year and prepares a meal for Christ House each spring. The troop supported the mission in McKee, KY as well as Food for the Poor with proceeds from the annual tree sale. Upcoming events include the annual Freeze-o-Ree camping trip and ski trip in West Virginia.
