IMPD, Hubler Chevrolet, J.C. Penny and Shoe Carnival partner for Clothe-A-Child INDIANAPOLIS – On Wednesday morning, December 17, officers with the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department (IMPD) will participate in the annual Clothe-A-Child Program that will provide 39 area children with holiday cheer. As a part of IMPD’s continual commitment to enhance and support our community, several IMPD officers and civilians will participate in the annual Clothe-A-Child program to give back to our community in a meaningful and impactful way. Schedule of Events: The day will begin at 9:00 am at Hubler Chevrolet with a light breakfast. At 9:30 a.m. the police escorted caravan of officers and children will be on their way to J.C. Penny’s at Greenwood Mall. From the Greenwood Mall the children and officers will move to Shoe Carnival at 11:00 a.m. and finally at 12:00 p.m. back to Hubler Chevrolet to prepare for the arrival of Santa and the gifts he will bring and lunch. The Clothe-A-Child program is funded and administered by financial donations and the human spirit to give back. The enormous support of Hubler Chevrolet, J.C. Penny Department Stores and Shoe Carnival provide IMPD with the resources to include as many as 45 kids with police officers for a day of fun and giving. Many of the officers are joined by family members to celebrate this heartwarming experience between cops and kids. This year’s program will include approximately 50 police officers and 39 kids for a shopping day experience. This year’s program will cost approximately $20,000.00. For anyone interested in making a donation, please contact Lea Gurnell
[email protected]. Members of the media are encouraged to attend to highlight the human spirit of IMPD and the positive effect it has on our community. Motorist in the area should expect some slight delays beginning at 9:30 am as the police escorted caravan gets underway.
