Non Graded Classes Classes 1,2,10 and 11. Riders CN-C2. Riders C3 and above are able to ride H/C. Classses 3 and 12. Rider category is open. Entry Fee: Classes will be split between ponies and horses if there are sufficient entries. Non Graded classes $12 per test. Level 1 $15 Level 2 and 3 $18 Level 4, 5 and 6 $20 There is an online fee of $1.50 per class (paid direct to Equestrian Entries for the use of their software). Ground Levy: CHB Dressage Group members Free for CHB Dressage Group Members Non CHB Members $25 per rider (Ground Levy covers judges and writers expenses, ground charges, NZEF fees, ribbons and administration) Yards $5 for the day Bridle Numbers for Non Graded classes $10 available to purchase CHB Dressage Group Membership $30. Conditions of Entry            

ESNZ rules apply. ESNZ approved event. CHB Dressage Group reserve the right to alter or cancel the programme within ESNZ rules if necessary All helmets must be tagged with a red ESNZ/NZPCA tag as per current ESNZ requirements. Late entries MAY be accepted but will incur a 50% charge per class and must be paid before the tournament starts. Scratchings and general enquiries to Shiree Hickey, email [email protected] or ph 021 481 757. Refunds will be paid after the event, and less a $10 admin fee if a scratching received once the draw is available. NO refund if scratching within 24hrs of event. Note the online fee is not refunded as this is a fee we are charged to use the software. Horses/ponies are limited to 3 starts per day. All horse/ponies on the grounds must wear Horse ID tags (with Name/Mobile No.) at all times when not competing. All horses/ponies must wear ESNZ numbers when competing in graded classes and bridle numbers for all Non Graded Classes (Available to Purchase on the day). The OC accepts no liability for loss, damage or injury to spectators, competitors, horses/ponies or their property. Riders must clean up after themselves and their horses. Manure must be removed prior to departure. Dogs on leads or owners disqualified. NO dogs allowed on the arena paddocks. NO lunging of horses/ponies in the arena paddocks. Camping available on site, free of charge; showers available. Please advise if you are staying overnight to ensure you don’t get locked out at night.

Each triallist will ride two tests according to their age. Value of placing is to be defined as 1 st = 1 point, 2 nd = 2 points, 3 rd = 3 points, 4th = 4 points, 5th = 5 points etc. Competitors with the least number of points in each division shall be deemed the Team Members. The Hawke’s Bay Area Pony Club team will comprise 2 Senior, 2 Intermediate and 2 Junior, plus one senior, one intermediate and one junior reserve. This team will compete at NZPCA Dressage Championships in Manfeild Park, Feilding 20-21 January 2018. Reserve riders will be required to travel to Manfeild Park, Feilding with their mounts.

Conditions to enter Dressage Area Trial: 1. Dressage trial-lists will ride 2 different dressage tests at the trial. NZPCA Dressage tests can be

Classes 1, 3 and 5 – NO CALLERS ALLOWED. Classes 2, 4 and 6 – CALLERS ALLOWED. Riders and their families will be asked to assist with arenas and refreshments. A rider may trial more than one mount but may ride only one mount on the team. All tests will be in long arenas. Run under NZPCA rules, see www.nzpca.org Gear check compulsory for all competitors. Riding Jackets to be worn in preference to Pony Club uniform. (Jackets only at NZPCA Dressage Champs) Juniors must enter Classes 1 and 2. Intermediate must enter Classes 3 and 4. Important Information for Dressage Team Members at Champs Team members will ride two dressage tests for their team score at Champs. These tests must be ridden from memory.

Reserve riders must be available to travel to Manfeild Park, Feilding and are on standby for the Team, until start time of the first Champs class. Prior to departure for Champs all team members (including reserves), must have 2 lessons with the nominated Team Coach. HB Area PC will fund these lessons. The Team Coach will be the only person permitted to warm up Team members before their championship tests. Prior to Champs each team member will work with the Team Coach to determine the best plan for riding their optimal Champs test. This will include the presentation time for turnout and gear check (approx 60 mins before start time), warm-up routine, strategies for the test ride etc. Your signature verifies that you have read, understood and accepted the criteria and conditions, and filled in the entry form details correctly. Rally Attendance for Examinations and Competitions:

The Riding Member must have attended a minimum number of working rallies in the twelve (12) months preceding the examination date or closing date for entries to inter Club, inter Area, National or International competition. a. Riders who do not hold a certificate must attend a minimum of five (5) working rallies. Three (3) of these attendances must be the combination of rider and mount that are sitting the examination or entering the competition. b. Riders who hold a D or D+ or C certificate must attend a minimum of five (5) working rallies. Three (3) of these attendances must be the combination of rider and mount that are sitting the examination or entering the competition. c. Riders who hold a C+ certificate must attend a minimum of four (4) working rallies. Two (2) of these attendances must be the combination of rider and mount that are sitting the examination or entering the competition. d. Riders who hold a B or H and A certificates must attend a minimum of three (3) working rallies.
