Yarn Moutaintop Chalet or Chateau by Classic Elite Yarns (70% baby alpaca, 30% bamboo; 50 g = 98 yards) 1 hank each of 3 colors, shown: Chateau 1447 Stormy Sky and 1481 Bud Green; Chalet 7406 Camel
Needles Knitting needle in size 10 (6 mm) or size to obtain gauge
Gauge 16 sts = 4" in Slip Rib stitch. Take time to save time, check your gauge.
Pattern Stitch Slip Rib Stitch (multiple of 4 sts +3) Row 1 (RS): K3, *wyif sl1 st purlwise, wyib k3; rep from *. Row 2; K1 *wyif sl1 st purlwise, wyib k3; rep from * and end last rep with k1 (instead of k3). Rep rows 1-2 for Slip Rib Stitch.
Cowl CO 35 sts with any color. *Work in Slip Rib Stitch until you are almost out of yarn, ending with Row 2 *; pc meas about 15½". Change to second color and rep between *s – pc meas about 31". Change to third color and rep between *s – pc meas about 46½". BO all sts knitwise. Sew the CO edge to BO edge to form cowl.
