The Charter Community School Program, which serves students in grades 7 - 12, provides a strong working partnership between school, students, and parents to help ensure student success. We value the uniqueness of our students and their individual goals. In order to ensure success for our students in meeting Common Core State Standards, we utilize creative and innovative educational strategies. Students attend a full day academic program that provides effective instruction, enhanced support and supervision, and on-going communication with parents about successes and concerns. Work Ready Certificate Program Charter Alternative Programs offers a unique Work Ready Certificate Program emphasizing career readiness and the development of skills necessary to be successful in the workplace, post high school training, or college. Students participate in a variety of specialized, real -life activities as part of the program, including career planning & preparation.
Charter Alternative Programs The Community School program is part of Charter Alternative Programs, which is comprised of several unique programs tailored to meet a wide variety of student and family needs. Our focus is to offer educational options that are engaging and provide rigorous academic curricula meeting the Common Core State Standards. Our charter programs are designed to meet a variety of educational, emotional, and social needs of students and their families. Charter Alternative Programs was recently awarded a full six-year accreditation through the Schools Commission of the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC). Our programs continually receive the highest level of certification possible for many reasons, including outstanding programs and exceptional working relationships with our families and community organizations. Charter Alternative Programs is chartered by the El Dorado County Office of Education. We established the first County Office of Education charter school in the state of California and remain pioneers in the area of charter education.
Partnerships with Folsom Lake College, Regional Occupational Programs, and other community organizations strengthen our ability to prepare students for college and vocational opportunities. We serve students from Kindergarten through Adult Education.
