“Every child is an artist. The problem is how to remain an artist once we grow up.” - Pablo Picasso

Day Seven Assignment: Not the end, but the beginning… We have covered a lot of territory this week. And I hope you’ve expanded your creative horizons. By now, you should have a collection of inspiring ideas and some new skills that will help you keep that inspiration flowing. Here is some final food for thought... Ask yourself these questions: 1. What have I gained over the past week? 2. What have I lost? 3. On as scale of one to five, how confident am I in my ability to generate and maintain creative inspiration? 4. Did I spend more time or less time daily than I committed to at the beginning of the class? 5. How much time am I willing to commit to my creative pursuits going forward? 6. What was the single most important thing I learned about myself over the course of this class?

Now that you’ve completed the class, write another six-word statement, which describes your current creative condition. One last assignment: Design a Creative Inspiration poster that you can print out and hang up in your creative workspace. The poster can be any size, and it should feature an inspiring quotation, or perhaps your six-word statement. Let it reflect your new commitment to your creativity, and celebrate your own unique style. Make it your motivational mission statement!
