Colorado Rapids Youth Soccer Club Competitive Team Head Coach, Staff Trainers U9-U18 Girls and Boys Location: Denver, CO Status: Independent Contractor, part time Reports to: Harald Heinrich, U11-U18 Director or Hannah Krieger, U4-U10 Director Our U9-10 developmental/select and U11-U18 competitive programs have several openings for team coaches and staff trainers for the Fall 2013/Spring 2014 year. Expectations: We are looking for highly motivated and enthusiastic competitive team coaches and staff trainers to join Colorado Rapids Youth Soccer Club as independent contractors. Candidates should have a considerable background in both playing and coaching soccer, and be able and willing to communicate with players, parents and technical and administrative club staff. The Rapids team coach or staff trainer must be able to share his/her passion for soccer and be able to motivate players to improve their skills and performance. He or she must be willing to adopt and teach our Colorado Rapids curriculum and participate in club-sponsored training to learn more about soccer, coaching and our club. Minimum skills and experience: · USSF “E” License (“D” License preferred) · Two years coaching experience with a specific age group (more experience preferred) · Club and high school playing experience (college playing experience preferred) The Rapids team coach or staff trainer must be able to demonstrate and teach the skills and techniques of soccer and articulate basic soccer tactics. The right candidate has an outgoing personality, the ability and motivation to work with young players and the desire to work alongside a staff that is focused on effective player development. We prefer a two year commitment based on excellent performance. Our current available coaching positions have an expected start date of Aug. 1, 2013. For U11-U18 team coaches, attending our tryout events, May 28-31 at Dick’s SGP, would be very helpful. Candidates with lesser qualifications than stated above may join our staff as assistant coaches to gain valuable experience.
