CONVERSE AND FRAGMENT DESIGN RETURN WITH THE ONE STAR ’74 COLLECTION Re-Crafted One Star ’74 Collection Is Newest Installment Of Creative Partnership With Hiroshi Fujiwara BOSTON, MASS. (March 22, 2015) – Today CONVERSE Inc. announces the Converse One Star ’74 fragment design Collection – signaling the continuation of the creative partnership with fragment design, founded by Tokyo-based street culture icon, Hiroshi Fujiwara. This collection features unique fragment design detailing, such as Hiroshi’s signature midsole branding and suggestive labelling. It is combined with modern construction details celebrating the first and original One Star sneaker, an early skateboarding classic from 1974.
The sneakers embody the timeless, premium and crafted ethos that Hiroshi Fujiwara represents. The re-crafted Converse One Star ’74 design utilizes premium hairy suede uppers, with an organic cotton Star logo and the iconic fragment design thunderbolt branding highlighted on the heel stay in volt green. They also feature drop-in Lunarlon sockliners for superior cushioning and come in two classic colorways: white and blue.
