Injured Vet Delivers First Pitch For Core Brands at Petco Stadium BOOTH 4829 Marine Staff Sgt. Brandon Dodson, soon-to-be the recipient of a Gary Sinise Foundationdonated ELAN smart home, threw out the first pitch at Petco Park on September 6, signifying both the beginning of the San Diego Padres and St. Louis Cardinals game and the start of CEDIA 2017 for the Core Brands team. The event was orchestrated by Core Brands, provider of the ELAN system that controls every home built by the Gary Sinise Foundation’s R.I.S.E (Restoring Independence, Supporting Empowerment) program. “We are honored to work with the Gary Sinise Foundation, donating smart-home technologies that help these veterans who have given so much for our country to better adjust to residential life,” said Core Brands Marketing Director Bill Hensley.

“And of course, we appreciate all the efforts of our ELAN dealers who design and install the systems. Smart home automation removes many of the obstacles to everyday life and provides a renewed level of independence for those with greater need. There is no better place to emphasize this point than at CEDIA, where the industry’s manufacturers and integrators come together to celebrate innovation.” The R.I.S.E. program was established to provide heroes and their families with the resources to overcome their new life challenges, increase their mobility, and reclaim their self-reliance. The Foundation relies on individual, corporate, non-profit donors, in-kind sponsors, and the local community’s support to make every project a reality.

Marine Staff Sgt. Brandon Dodson, soon-to-be the recipient of a Gary Sinise Foundation-donated ELAN smart home, delivers the first pitch at Petco Park Wednesday night. Marine Staff Sgt. Brandon Dodson will move into his Vista, California-based home following the completion of the technology integration by eHome Lifestyles later this year.
