Are you interested in using your skills, experience and time to benefit your local Primary School and make a difference? Crudwell School are looking to recruit a co-opted governor to support Crudwell Primary School for a term of four years. We are specifically looking for anyone with skills, experience, understanding or interest in the following areas:
Strategic Planning Information Technology (ideally within an educational or training environment) Managing Change
Further to these initial skills, any experience in financial planning, premises or facilities management, or the education sector would be beneficial. Please note, this position is open to anyone in the local community, whether a parent/carer of a pupil or not. If you are interested in applying for the post of Co-opted Governor, please:
Provide a written explanation/letter addressed to the Chair of Governors at the school explaining in 300 words or less why you would like to take on this role and what you would bring to it.
Following the written application, have a discussion with the Chair/Vice Chair/ Headteacher to establish that, you, the prospective Governor fully understands the demands of the role and is still interested in applying.
At this stage, depending on the number of applications and vacancies available, a panel of Governors will select successful applicants and invite them to join the Governing Body. This position is being advertised on the school’s website (www.crudwellprimary.co.uk), publicised to school parents and posted on village noticeboards. Deadline for applications is 16th October 2015.
