Daemen College Department of Athletics Reference Guide to NCAA Rules & Regulations How Do I Know If I Am A “Representative of Athletic Interests?”

To assist alumni, friends, visitors and boosters in complying with NCAA regulations governing the conduct of Daemen Athletic programs.

You are if you answer YES to any of the following questions: 

You are or ever have been a member of an organization promoting Daemen’s athletic programs



Have you ever made a donation to Daemen’s athletic programs



Have you ever helped to arrange or provide summer employment for an enrolled student-athlete



Have you ever assisted in providing any benefits to enrolled student-athletes or their families



Have you ever been involved in any way with Daemen’s athletic programs

What Are Extra Benefits? It is not permissible for prospects, student-athletes or their relatives and friends to receive any extra benefits or special arrangements. Examples of extra benefits that you cannot provide to these individuals include but are not limited to:  Cash or loans in any amount  Co-signing or arranging a loan  Providing gifts of any kind  Providing special discounts for goods and services
