Wednesday, 03 May 2017 Dear Parents, As you may be aware all children in Year Two will be taking end of Key Stage One tests. These have to be completed before the end of May and we would like to let you know how we will be administering these tests. Below are details of the papers that the children will be accessing and when they are going to be done. End of Key Stage One Tests Maths – paper 1 Arithmetic Maths – paper 2 problem solving and reasoning SPAG (spelling, punctuation and Grammar) – one test Reading – 2 comprehension papers Dates 15.5.2017 – 26.5.2017 It is extremely important that children attend school regularly up to half term as we are covering learning that the children will be tested on. All children need to be in school the final two weeks when we are doing the tests as they need to be completed by the end of May. We don’t want the children to feel any pressure in relation to these tests; therefore we are going to do the tests in small groups. The children will do them with their class teacher in the library with refreshments provided! They have done lots of practise papers already and are used to doing these kinds of tests. We will let you know at the end of the year how children get on. We are very proud of all the children and how hard they are working at the moment in school.
