Learning and Growing Together Dear Parents / Carers, Welcome back, I hope you had a good Christmas and New Year. Friday Mornings After discussion with several parents we have decided to bring back the weekly Friday open mornings for parents and carers to come in and work with their children. This will be starting this Friday from 8.40 to 9.00am when the register will then be taken. Parents Evenings Our Spring term Parents’ Evenings will be on 14th and 16th March. They are a little later than they have been in the past, this is following discussion with parents who wanted the meetings a little more spread out. We hope that all parents/Carers will meet with Class Teachers to see how their children are progressing and to look at the work. School Disco We will be holding a school disco on Thursday 16th February, 4.30 – 5.15pm KS1 & 5.30pm KS2. Punctuality Thank you for ensuring children have been arriving on time to school. Please remember the doors open at 8.40am and all pupils must be in by 8.45am for registration when the doors will close promptly. Thank you for your co-operation in ensuring all children have a calm, happy start to each school day. School Uniform Please ensure all items of clothing are clearly labelled with your child's name so they can be returned if misplaced. Please remember the only jewellery permitted are small stud-type earrings and a wrist watch. These must be removed by children themselves for P.E. lessons. Children should wear black shoes, not trainers please. If children do attend in trainers, they will be given black indoor pumps to change into. Can I also remind parents that nail varnish/nail art and temporary tattoos are not permitted. Water Bottles Please remember to take your child's water bottle home each day and wash it thoroughly. Children should fill their bottle at home, ready for the new school day, and they can refill their bottle when needed at school. It is important that children drink plenty of water throughout the day. Good Luck Mrs Marsden!
