Thursday, March 12, 2015 1:00 p.m. – 2:30 p.m. Conference Room B Central Offices Members in Attendance: Lorraine Rossner, Vicky White, Tina Henckel, Ken Saranich, Mary Beth Trafecante, Karen Crosby, Kathy Riddle, Dan DiVito, Liz Wesolowski, and Eileen Robin Agenda Items:
SRI Report Review – district grade-level reports – Vicky White/T. Henckel/D. DiVito – 20 min. o Comparison of Fall to Winter SRI scores via Data Visualization +7% increase across district overall Subgroups SPED +4.5% ELL +4% o Individual School score growth via Data Visualization BH +20% ESS +10% LH +14% MO +16% SS +41% PH +11% SIS +5% SHS +5%
Draft School Climate Survey for discussion – Lis Wesolowski/K. Riddle 20 min o Draft surveys and timelines were passed out and discussed o It is important to note that at the end of the first set of survey questions a parent could be prompted to answer another set of questions for another school or for another student in their family to make taking the survey more convenient for parents to take o Student survey responses will include 3rd and 4th grade on school surveys when student surveys are delivered o The committee discussed a variety of “parent survey” questions in order to create a more uniform bank for system-wide use – review and revision completed o A primary Parent Survey will be shared with the committee – then shared with administrators for distribution to the parent

Sub-Committee Reports – 10 min. each o School Climate Committee – Karen Crosby Climate Survey information was addressed earlier in the meeting – see notes above o STEM/JAM/Career Pathways – Kathy Riddle Meet today to discuss next steps examining curriculum, course offerings, and Naviance information – committee will be meeting with the Superintendent in the near future o Literacy Curriculum Committee – Vicky White Will report out next month o Math Curriculum Committee – Jen Rua Will report out next month o Curriculum Committee – Tina Henckel In-house training hours and curriculum hours are being tracked for all curriculum groups – work continues will all departments o Special Education Committee/Transitions – Liz Wesolowski PL coming up focusing on “transitions” between grade levels o SRBI/Data Team Process – Mary Beth Trafecante Committee met last week – Tina & Kristen provided an overview of past year’s work re: SRBI Model – current purpose outline with establishment of priorities – revision of data team forms in district forms for updating to increase efficiency of team work
