DMYHA January Board Meeting Minutes January 10, 2017 6:00 pm Metro ice Board Members present; Mike Quick, Shawn Peterson, Sandi Hurtado-Peters, Doug Borud, Jade Pospeshil DMYHA Staff: Scott Long Absent: Frank Meeink, Monty Brown, Nic Meyer Meeting called to order at 6:19 pm Doug made a motion to approve Dec minutes, mike seconded. Minutes approved. Scott Long-Hockey director-Current winter learn to play has 55+ participants, DMYHA will sponsor 3 8u mitey bucs teams who will play in 3-4 Jamborees. The quick-change goalie gear arrived and is being used in 8u program. Reminder try hockey for free is on Feb 25, Oakleafs doing a service event so will not need help. The Wild discussed doing a free try hockey in September, DMYHA will support as requested. More details to follow. Jade Pospeshil-Coaching Director-Jade reported on the USAH level 1 clinic hosted by Scott, we have 20+ participants. Doug Borud-Travel director-Skills/Power Skating sessions going well, one remaining on Jan 29. Will request feedback from coaches moving forward for next season. A request to possibly update the travel uniforms has been made, board will review this summer and if plans to change it would be scheduled 2 years out. Doug hasn’t had any issues reported and feels the travel season is going well. Sandi Hurtado-Peters-Sandi updated the board on monthly financials. Sandi completed the tax and compilation report with Denman and Co, will have available at Annual meeting or online at www.dmyha.com Shawn Peterson-Vice President-Shawn discussed some ticket sales program he has been working with the IA wild on. Looking for ways to raise more money for DMYHA annually. Mike Quick-Mike gave an update on current Metro ice conditions. Has been in contact with Metro MGMT. Metro has requested a list of issues that need addressed and they will get to. Drop in with IA Wild players will take place with 8u group New Business: 

The board revisited the CO2 detection system at Metro ice, waiting on report back from Metro MGMT Meeting adjourned 7:43 pm
