DMYHA December Board Meeting Minutes December 13, 2016 6:00 pm Metro ice Members present; Mike Quick, Shawn Peterson, Sandi Hurtado-Peters, Frank Meeink, Monty Brown, Doug Borud, Jade Pospeshil, Nic Meyer DMYHA Staff: Scott Long Meeting called to order at 6:06 pm Scott Long-Hockey director-Winter learn to play class will begin Jan 4. The 2hd half house league schedule will be up by 12/20. Board discussed alternatives for DMYHA storage moving forward. Discussion was tabled. Coaching Director/Player Development-Scott will conduct a level 1 USAH coaches clinic at Metro ice on Saturday 12/31 Monty Brown-Risk Manager-no report Nic Meyer-Ref in chief-Oct/Nov ref pay has been submitted. Nic requested the he can add Wild AAA games to DMYHA pay. Scott said he will be willing to invoice AAA back for reimbursement. Doug Borud-Travel Director-The skills/power skating session went well, coach returns on 12/19 and 2 more times in Jan. Frank Meeink-House director- Frank notified of player movement on 2 14u teams to try and make division more competitive. Skills competition for non select looking to hold in Jan or Feb on a off weekend. Sandi Hurtado Peters-Treasurer-Reported monthly financials. A tax extension from Denmann and CO was filed with the IRS. Sandi request 10-99 and W2 forms be collected from all officials. Nic will assist getting info. Shawn Peterson-VP-no report Mike Quick-President- The IA wild have reached out about players coming to DMYHA practices, Scott and Mike will work with Wild staff to see if it can be arranged. The IA wild will be having a ribbon cutting at the new raccoon river skating park on 12/19 and are looking for 4-6 DMYHA players to help break in the ice. Scott will solicit members. New business:

 

The board discussed installation of a CO2 system at Metro ice. Quote came back for approx. $7,500. Metro has asked for help with payment of system. The board tabled discussion pending official proposal from Metro ice MGMT. A motion was made to pay $550 to memorial set up for Omaha Coach Shayne Sanborn’s son. Motion passed unanimously.
