Meet our Team: Lyndsey Vallejos, Regulatory Superintendent Lyndsey started her Cargill Career in 2009 as an FSQR Intern in Friona, TX. She was attending college at New Mexico State University in Las Cruces, NM. She returned as an FSQR Associate in 2010. Her FSQR career continued as supervisor on the Harvest Floor, Fab and in Regulatory. She moved to Dodge City as Regulatory Superintendent in 2013. Lyndsey is married to her high school sweetheart, Ernie and they have a fur-baby (Dog) named Daisy. Lyndsey is a crafter and enjoys any free time at Hobby Lobby. She and Ernie like fishing, going home to visit friends and family and tailgating for the Dodge City Law. What she and Ernie miss the most about living in New Mexico is the food (green chile), mountains and family.

Cargill celebrated with Table 5 for their improved yields on Ribeyes and blade meat. In addition, this table had No claims for all of Quarter 3. Thank you all for your hard work!
Cargill Dodge City hosted customers from Matsuya, located in Japan on Wednesday, April 15. Matsuya came to review specifications and look at our different makes of the product they buy from us. They use Cargill’s beef in their chain of restaurants that serve beef noodle soups/beef bowls across Japan.

Administrative Professional’s Day
Tyson Blackney and Selwyn Jones visited from Teys Australia for a plant tour. Teys Australia and Cargill are a 50/50 joint venture with 6 processing plants in Australia, which process 6,500 head/day. The joint venture also has 3 feedlots.

Donation to Sudan Marko Malek has worked for Cargill since 2010. You may recognize his name, as he has been featured in Dodge City as a community volunteer and also was one of the speakers in a panel discussion last September titled, “Lost Boys of Sudan”. Marko is travelling home to Sudan and is taking a gift for the children in his village. Dodge City Public Library, along with Friends of the library collected many children’s books for Marko to take back to his homeland with him. Oregon Foods, Cargill customer and the largest foodservice distributor in Peru, visited Cargill to learn more about Cargill Beef and to better understand the process. Oregon Foods is Peru’s exclusive distributor of Cargill’s premium programs, Sterling Silver Meats and Angus Pride beef. They brought with them a representative from one of their largest customers, El Hornero. El Hornero is the largest steakhouse Chain in Peru.
