Dear Parents /Guardians,
IMPORTANT DATES
The Dolphins had a blast at the Apex Fun Run and it is now time to collect all of those wonderful donations. The collection envelopes have been sent home with the Monday folders. Please return the envelopes by Friday, September 23rd. We would also like to thank all the families who were able to come out to help with passing out Otter Pops, marking laps on the back of the shirts, taking pictures and giving the students high fives of encouragement. Thank you! I would like to take a moment to inform you all that, due to changing circumstances, Ms. Priya will not be with the Dolphin class as our T.A. We appreciate all of Ms. Priya’s help and wish her the best in her future endeavors. A search for a new Dolphin T.A. has begun and I will keep you all posted. Thank you to the lovely substitutes who have stepped in to help the Dolphin class during this time of transition. Nouns and adjectives are the topics for the week. Using our skills as detectives we have found nouns and adjectives in the stories we have read in class. We also have a fish bowl with treasures to discover and describe. In geometry, we have completed the drawers with circles, squares, rectangles and triangles. We have also been practicing with the Constructive Triangle box various ways to create a triangle. We look forward to practicing our skills next week in class.

P.E. in the Gym The gym floors are now redone and the gym is ready to be used for P.E. classes. Due to the new floors, we are only allowed to have tennis shoes (no black soles please) or similar when we have P.E. in the gym. Thursday is the Dolphin’s assigned gym day. Students may wear or bring tennis shoes to change into for P.E. time. We thank you all for helping us to take care of our gym floors.
9/21- Early Release Day 9/23- Friday lunch hosted by Sea Turtle, Butterfly fish and Anglerfish 9/29- Picture Day Please note that 1st-3rd and 7th-8th grades are on the 29th.
October 10/3 – Dolphin field trip to Fog Will Farm 9 a.m. 10/5 – Early Release Day - Campus Beautification Day 9/6 – CAC meeting at 5:30 in the Pacific Room 9/7 – Friday lunch hosted by Marlin and Sea dragon
