Cutting Directions for 1 Block 



From Background Fabric Cut:  - (8) 3-3/8”x3-3/8” squares (A) - (1) 6-7/8”x6-7/8” Square. Subcut in half diagonally both directions to make a total of (4) Quarter Square Triangles. (B) - (2) 13”x13” Squares. Subcut in half diagonally once to  make a total of (4) Half Square Triangles (C) From Green Fabric Cut: - (1) 6-1/8” x 6-1/8” Square. (D)

- (8) 3-3/8”x3-3/8” squares (E) From Red Fabric Cut: - (2) 6-1/2”x6-1/2” Squares. Subcut into diagonally once to make a total of (4) Half Square Triangles. (F) From Gold Fabric Cut: - (1) 6-7/8”x6-7/8” Square. Subcut in half diagonally both directions to make a total of (4) Quarter Square Triangles. (G)

Layout (2) Background “A” squares and (2) Green) “E” squares as shown.



Sew block into rows pressing towards the Green Squares.



Sew rows together to make (1) 4 Patch Block. Press in the direction of the arrow. Block should measure 6-1/8”x6-1/8”



Repeat previous (3) steps to make a total of (4) 4 Patch Blocks

Star Point Blocks 

layout (1) Background “B” Quarter Square Triangle, (1) Gold “G” Quarter Square Triangle, and (1) Red “F” Half Square Triangle



Sew (1) Background “B” triangle to (1) Gold “G” triangle. Press towards the Gold Triangle



Sew (1) Red “F” triangle to the “BG” Triangle. Press towards the Red triangle. Block should measure 6-1/8” x 6-1/8”

Block Assembly 

Layout (4) 4 Patches, (4) Star Point Blocks, and (1) Green “D” Square as shown



Sew Block into rows with a scant 1/4” seam, pressing in the direction of the arrows.



Sew Rows together with a scant 1/4” seam, pressing in the direction of the arrows. Block should measure 17-1/2”x17-1/2”



Layout (4) Background “C” Half Square Triangles and (1) Double Friendship Star Block as shown.
