CLASSROOM NEWS Jesus Time– We will learn about the trial, crucifixion, and resurrection of Jesus. Happily Ever After– We will complete Unit 8. Our new story for Unit 9 is “Peter and the Wolf”. April Nursery Rhyme– Old King Cole Science– We will learn about things that are underground (rocks, vegetables, and animals that can be found underground.) Chapel– Please remember to bring an offering to school for chapel each week. Our buddies will pick us up promptly at 8:30 on Wednesdays. Students are encouraged to dress nicely for chapel. Our eggs have arrived! We will be incubating duck eggs scheduled to hatch in early May.
SPECIAL EVENTS Spring Concert– PK3-8th grade will perform Wednesday, May 10 at 6:30 in the gym. Child of the Week– Thanks to Carson and his mom for making popcorn and sharing a story with the class for his special activity. Our next Child of the Week will be Josh (April 10-21). Field Trip– We will be going to Retzer Nature Center for a nature program on Thursday, April 27. Please see the permission slip for details. Please sign and return the slip as soon as possible and indicate if you would like to attend. Golf Outing and Auction– Mark your calendars and sign up to attend on May 19. The PK3 and PK4 classes are going to make an item for the auction. Come and place your bid! No School– April 14 and 17. Happy Easter!
Important Dates to Remember May 12– Mother’s Day Tea (Moms are invited from 10:15-11:15.) May 19– 11 a.m. dismissal due to golf outing Mid to late May– We would like to take a trip to deliver our ducklings to their new farm home. Date TBD. May 21– PK3-4th grade sings in church at 10:45 a.m. May 31– PK4 last day of school and picnic
Take Home Learning Packs During the month of April, I will be circulating Learning Packs for your families to use. Please enjoy the materials in the bag and return them when you are finished (preferably in 1 week).
