WRITING We are working in groups to gather information about Non-Fiction Topics.
We are using Non-Fiction Text Features to gather information from the Non-Fiction texts that we read.
We are writing individual reports about the animal topic we researched, which includes relevant information about our topic and Non-Fiction Text Features.
We are using context clues to determine or clarify the meaning of words in Non-Fiction Texts.
We are developing opinions about our topics and using factual information from NonFiction Texts to support our opinions.
We are determining the main idea and details within the Non-Fiction texts we read. We are asking and answering questions about key details in Non-Fiction Texts.
We are enhancing our writing by writing interesting facts that include adjectives and verbs. Example: The zebra eats grass. The black and white striped zebra grazes on tall green grass.

MATH We are adding within 20 using different strategies such as Adding by Counting on From 10 using a Picture or Ten Frame.
