10 MILE ROUTE SANDY LANE – BUSHY COMMON – SCARNING – TOFTWOOD - RETURN
ROUTE DIRECTIONS
Starting from the bottom of Sandy Lane in Dereham: Head up Sandy Lane, and at the top (approx. 1.5km) turn left towards Dillington:
Shortly after you pass the Gressenhall sign (just after 3km), take the first left:
Shortly after (approx. 3.5k) take the first left again (signposted to Longham):
Follow this road straight until you come to a T junction at 5km – turn left:
Keep following this road around various bends, until at 7km, take the next left turn (signposted to Dereham):
Take the first right, at about 7.5km onto Podmore lane:
At the end of Podmore lane (about 8.5km) turn right (stick to the footpath on this busy road):
At about 9.5km, cross over the road (mindful of traffic) to turn left onto Coach Lane:
Follow Coach Lane, until taking the first right (at about 10.5km) onto Fen Road:
Follow Fen Road all the way until it becomes Stone Road and heads into Toftwood. Keep following Stone Road all the way to the T-junction at the very end (just after 13km), and turn left (sticking to footpaths on this busy road):
Follow this road, under the A47 flyover and to the T-junction at the end near Homebase. Turn left (14.5km), still sticking to footpaths:
Follow this road straight all the way into the town centre. At the memorial junction, follow the road left round the George pub:
And head down the hill to return to Sandy Lane on your right, where you started:
