How to grow Sow

Plant out

Flowers

Sow seed directly into a well raked, moist, warm soil in April or May, covering lightly. Thin resultant seedlings to their final spacings as follows: Sunflower 40cm (15"), Honesty 30cm (12"), Rocket 45cm (18") and Lavender 20cm (8"). Aster 30cm (12") may also be sown March/May under glass at about 21°C (10°F) and grown on before planting outside in June.

Aftercare Lavender Provence Blue - Well known aromatic and nectar producing plant. Attractive, scented and useful! Will grow to 40-45cm (16-20") tall.

Maintain moisture in dry periods. Aster and Sunflower will bloom late summer while other varieties will flower May to July the following year.

Honesty Mix - Attractive flowers are followed by silvery seed pods. Height 60cm (2'). Quality Control: This seed has been carefully tested to ensure high germination. Prior to use, store in a dry cool place.

Sweet Rocket Mix - Another nectar producing variety with fragrant purple or white flowers. Height 60-80cm (24-32"). Aster Single Mix - Produces a wide range of colours late in the season. Will also attract butterflies and beautiful insects with its sweet nectar. Height 60cm (2'). Sunflower Tall Yellow - Popular seed producing variety growing to 2m (6') or more. Birds will feed on the plant or heads can be cut and hung outside when food is short.
