SOWING/GROWING Sow in final flowering position in spring on a finely prepared seedbed just covering the seed with soil. Keep moist until the seedlings appear and thin out as necessary to a spacing of 15cm (6"). Remove dead flower heads as they appear. Will grow readily in most garden soils in a sunny position. Note that seeds are tasty sprinkled on bread and cakes.
