SOWING/GROWING Sow February/March in gentle heat in trays of a good seed compost, covering lightly. Prick off seedlings when large enough to handle and plant out to final positions in April/May 25cm (10") apart. Alternatively, sow thinly direct into a prepared seedbed in April/May, ½-1cm (¼-½") deep. Keep soil moist until seedlings appear. Will thrive in most garden soils in an open sunny position.
