Sow thinly July/August direct into a finely raked seedbed at a depth of 13mm (½") (Germination 12-20 days). Transplant with a trowel or dibber when large enough to handle allowing 38cm (15") between rows and about 25-30cm (10-12") between plants in the row. Can also be sown MarchMay direct into a finely raked seedbed and transplanted for autumn use. Boost growth in early spring with nitrogenous fertiliser. Sowing ➞ Cropping – 26-28 weeks.
