Winter has finally arrived this week! I o!en say that school is 5° colder than my house and with the 19 June way the wind has been roaring through here the last couple of days I think that would be right! Athletics Carnival Well done to all students for wearing our correct school jumpers. Our students have been busy prac,cing for tomorrow’s athle,cs 21-22 June carnival. War cry prac,ce was held yesterday and we have also been Porcupine Gorge and Mt prac,cing field events for the last couple of weeks. A big thank you Walker Challenge to Tammy and Prairie for Helpers Wanted! organizing what promises to be a wonderful carnival. Please see the program of events on the last page of this edi,on of the newsle1er. 23 June It is hard to believe that next week is the end of term 2 and we will be half way through the End of Term year. To celebrate the end of term, we will be holding a get together Celebration 6:30pm here at school on Monday night. This will be an opportunity to meet Fr Francis and farewell our P&F President Sam Searle, Jono, Elijah and Noah as well as our Japanese 27 June teacher Kaori Waerea, Harry, Kameka and Toa. I look forward to Report Cards sent home seeing you all here. Good luck also to all of our students and parents who are Term 2 concludes compe,ng in the Porcupine Gorge and Mt Walker Fun Runs this 12:00pm weekend.

We are hoping to make this a weekend that Hughenden won’t forget for a long ,me, as we hope to generate some good revenue for the town also show our visitors we are a great community to be a part.of and show them what they are missing by moving away from this great town. Tomorrow is our Athle,cs Carnival! All students are to be dropped off and picked up at Hughenden State School. The carnival starts at 9:00am. Students are to be dropped off from 8:30am.
